Our Mission
One For All Dance Academy aims to provide a nurturing environment where dancers of all ages can explore and appreciate all styles of dance. One For All Dance Academy is focused on the principles of respect, effective communication, and helping others to fulfill their personal goals.
About the Owners

Jessica Shoop Williams is Co-Owner and Artistic Director of One For All Dance Academy. Born and raised in Maryland, Jessica’s life in dance began at the age of 4. Since then Jessica has enjoyed studying ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and gymnastics at many studios around Maryland and Washington D.C. Jessica has also been fortunate enough to travel around the country and study with distinguished instructors including Vladimir Djouioukhadze of the Kirov Academy of Ballet, Judy Rice formerly of the Joffrey Ballet, tap dance great Buster Brown and the faculty of the National Tap Ensemble. Jessica has been teaching dance to ages 3 through adult for twelve years, won four regional choreography awards, and choreographed several shows for local theater companies. Outside of the dance world, Jessica holds a Masters degree in Marine, Estuarine, and Environmental Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and works as a technical writer.

Jean Tretler is Co-Owner and Business Manager of One For All Dance Academy. Jean developed a love of dance and theatre growing up in a suburb of New York City. She enjoyed ballet, pointe, tap, gymnastics and attending live performances on Broadway. As a young adult she graduated from State University of New York and The Catholic University of America School of Nursing. She is a Registered Nurse and a Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Jean was inspired to return to the world of dance after the birth of her daughter and is having fun studying tap and performing in bi-annual stage shows.

Christina Kawata began dancing at the age of four and has been fortunate enough to study ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and ballroom at several studios around central Maryland. While she enjoys all types of dance, ballet and pointe hold a special place in Christina's heart. Through her performance career Christina has danced the roles of Clara, The Snow Queen, and The Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker, as well as Aurora in Sleeping Beauty with local dance studios. Christina began teaching at One For All in January of 2011 after two years of working as a teaching assistant. During the summers Christina enjoys working with children of all ages as a camp counselor.
